About the event
A US history immigration timeline exhibit will be on display at both the Newfields and Kensington churches. This is a FREE educational exhibit that tells a unique perspective of the American story. Spread throughout 26 posters summarizing policies and laws enacted from the years 1797-2022, this historic timeline invites viewers to consider how American identity is shaped by whose citizenship is welcomed and whose is rejected.
This exhibit is made possible by a grant from the Endowment for Health and the support of the Community Church of Durham, who have made it available to us for free. Visit any time between 10-8pm on Thursdays.
