This is troubling, especially in a world where LESSENING the violence is a desperate need. How are we to understand these texts? Are there times when violence is, OK? Where does ‘love your enemies” come into play? Seibert, in this book, faces these challenges head-on and offers us insight and strategies to consider and reconsider these specific Old Testament passages.
